Now that our 25-year Reunion has now come and gone we are left with the memories that are ours to keep, just like during our previous days together. The evening was enthusiastically celebrated by almost 400 people, Saroyans, Thalians and guests. Amidst hugs and kisses, the feeling of camaraderie was as if only a few short years had passed since our graduation from Reseda High. Those of you who did not attend were asked about and missed. The Masters of Ceremonies for the evening were Frank Curcio and Ed Koch. Awards were given for... Changed the Least: Bonnie (O'Hanlon) Haden, Maureen (Dalton) Drum and Hal Bedsol; Changed the Most: David Pinckney and Cecile (Doub) Reilly; Traveled the Farthest: Diana (Senf) Shye (Israel), Gloria (Monda) Lambert (Holland), Phyllis (Finklestein) Cohen (Hong Kong) and Honorable Mention to Anita (Olmstead) Mix and John Patterson (both from Alaska); Longest Married: Vicki (Baker) King; Youngest Child: Bob Jenks (3 months old); Most Grandchildren: Marsha (Walter) Heckathorn. As part of the Reunion festivities we had a picnic the following day at Reseda Park and a one-week Mexican Cruise aboard the Tropicale Cruise ship. At 4:00 pm our ship set sail to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas with 43 Classmates, friends and families and we had a fabulous time. We partied and visited for a week and everyone began saving up for our 30-year Cruise which will probably include the Panama Canal. |
