Robert Delwarte passed away on July 28, 2018.
Many may remember him as he taught at Sequoia Junior High and California State University Northridge. He worked closely with Mr. Gagliardi because he was prepping the musicians to go to the high school band. He was the main feeder for our band at RHS and has attended a number of our reunions.
Dr. Delwarte was professsor emeritus at CSUN and co-founder with his wife Freida of the Canoga School of Music (circa 1959), where Bob also directed the West Valley Youth Band for decades.
